Katniss sat on the porch thinking. It had been years since the 74th Annual Hunger Games and even longer since she had left the Capitol. Her friends dead, her family gone, and the only people she had were Peeta, Haymitch living across the street and her children. It took years after them eloping for Peeta to convince her about having children. Panem was finally a place where it was okay to live; there were no threats and she smiled at the thought of Peeta being a father, he was a great man. She clutched at her necklace and looked over to where the Capitol had once been. The districts were more connected now, people flowed from one to another without a care but 12 was still hers. It wasn’t very crowded and she liked it that way. She looked down at her notebook resting on her belly as the baby stirred. She put a hand on her stomach and sighed. This pregnancy had been easier than the first, she wasn’t terrified. She remembered the first time Rose had stirred inside her. The movement had waken her up from sleep and it took Peeta brushing her hair and holding her for her to relax once more.
She looked over to the yard where Peeta was planting more flowers and her daughter playing next to him. She was covered in dirt and digging holes with her hands because she didn’t like the tiny shovel Peeta had given her. She held up a bulb of flowers and Peeta smiled, kissing her forehead told her to go inside and wash up for lunch. She nodded and ran to Katniss hugging her tightly before heading inside. Peeta leaned against the pillars of the porch and looked at her smiling. Primrose looked exactly like Peeta, blonde hair and a love for everything art. She baked with him and was always busy; the only thing she had from Katniss were her grey eyes. Katniss looked up at Peeta and smiled, “she is your daughter” she said with a laugh. She looked down again and closed her notebook. She couldn’t think of any more good deeds and she placed it on the railing next to her lemonade. “I made lemonade earlier for us” she smiled standing up and placing one hand at her lower back. Peeta helped her inside and made sandwiches as Primrose climbed into Katniss’ lap.
That was how things were. Comfortable and happy. As Primrose played with her hair, Katniss looked at Peeta remembering everything they had been through. She smiled as her daughter braided her hair and she pushed strands behind her ear. She never knew how happy she could be even with most of the people she knew gone. She had a little girl, a baby on the way, a mentor that had sobered up after everything and was like a grandfather to Rose, and a husband that was everything she could ask for. Sometimes she missed her friends, her mother, even Gale, but they were a part of her past and now she was looking towards the future. She grabbed her notebook and wrote down Peeta before lunch was ready. This was what kept her busy, this game of hers. She smiled as she put the notebook away because she knew that there was always worse games she could play.
Katniss thumbed her ring as she looked out at the Capitol lights. She was on the outskirts of the city with Peeta and she was thinking about everyone. Most of the tributes had died, all the rebels were gone too. She bit her lip as she thought about everyone…
Katniss turned to Peeta as he grabbed her hand, smiling slightly. She didn’t want to leave but she knew she had to. Especially if she wanted to be with Peeta. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and nodded, “let’s go”.

Foxface smiled, then gasped mockingly. “No way..Caesar is the most caring and nicest person on the planet.” she said sarcastically.
“It’s… strange that’s for sure” she sighed.
“Are you okay?” Foxface asked her, frowning. “You’ve been…kind of depressed lately.”
“I’m fine just… annoyed with Caesar” she laughed slightly, “what’s new?”
“Oh I know, I should have 20 children by now with his pregnancy rumors” she said sarcastically while rolling her eyes.

Katniss nodded and sat down next to her. “How are you doing?”
Prim waited in front of a cafe, waiting for her sister to come. “Where is she now ?” she let out a little sigh before entering the cafe and sit to a wooden chair beside the big, clear window. She ordered her favorite, Hot Chocolate and keep waiting for Katniss. Looking to her left, a big TV was showing a familiar face. Ceasar Flickerman’s face, this time with a lighter blue colored hair. As usual, spreading Gossips that might be true, or not. But a gossip caught her attention.
“Hi Prim” Katniss said through a hoodie and some shorts.
Katniss sighed, “it is my fault, Seneca Crane told me himself”. She leaned back on the sofa and sighed. “We need to get the kids to a safe place” she bit her lip, “honestly, here might be the safest place in Panem right now”. She looked at…
Katniss bit her lip, “we can talk to the people we know but… we need to be smart. Do it where no one would over hear and just… we need to think of a plan to trap the rebels. I mean besides these two new ones, all of them want my head. So… we definitely need a plan and no children. Sparkle can be with Prim in the hospital if you think she’s at any risk, the rebels can’t go there or here. It’s the only safe place really” she said as she looked at them too. “We can’t start acting suspicious though, let Caesar talk, go on with the wedding. Pretend you’re in a bubbly world”.
Katniss looked at Cato, “don’t come in here and think I don’t know what’s going on. I’ve know before all of you. I knew the day we saved Marvel but I can’t go around running like a chicken with my head cut off. I have my sister” she raised her voice. Annoyed at…
Katniss looked at Cato as he rose out of his chair and shook her head. Even with getting married and having a child, once a Career always a Career. “You don’t listen to anyone but yourself or another Career do you? I’m saying that we need to be smart. We need an elaborate plan to get the rebels where we want them and then fight. All you want to do is what? Crack some skulls? You didn’t think in the arena when your ego almost killed me and you don’t think now. Don’t start with me Cato because you may be good at a lot of things but thinking isn’t one. You want to fight with me and raise red flags, do that around your friends and family. I’m not about to have some suicidal person on my team because you don’t think”. She crossed her arms, “you can go if that’s your plan” she said flatly. She meant it to. Not as a ruse to a fight but as a fact, if he wanted to be stupid he could be it somewhere else.

Katniss was rebandaging her torso when there was a knock at the door. She put her shirt back on and yelled, “it’s open!” She looked up to see Cato and he started talking about the rebellion. The immediate talking made her headache come back and she rubbed at…

I knew the day we saved Marvel but I can’t go around running like a chicken with my head cut off. I have my sister” she raised her voice. Annoyed at Cato’s ego coming to play again. “You and the other Careers decided to have families which is good for you but if you go to the districts you’ll get innocent people with no way to defend themselves killed or worse” she ran her fingers through her hair, “we can’t do that, it’s not possible without raising red flags”.
